Ayomidamope (Ayo) Adebiyi, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, CEN, COHN-S - she/her/hers

Dr. Ayomidamope (Ayo) Adebiyi, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, CEN, COHN-S is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with specialization in occupational and environmental health nursing. Her clinical background spans emergency and trauma care and occupational health nursing, and she serves as Clinical Lead for Occupational Health Services at UC Merced, where she evaluates and treats work-related injuries and illnesses, leads medical surveillance programs, infectious disease protocols, respiratory protection programs, and provides clinical oversight on workplace safety for the campus high-containment biomedical research and animal programs.

Ayo holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice and Post-Master's Certificate in Nursing Education from the Johns Hopkins University, and a Master of Science in Nursing in Family Practice with specialized concentration in Occupational and Environmental Health from University of California, Los Angeles. She is a published peer-reviewed author whose work includes expanding nurse practitioners clinical awareness of Valley fever diagnosis in primary care, as well as research on work-related musculoskeletal injury prevention and ergonomic wellness interventions. Her broader scholarly interests span environmental exposure assessment and occupational health literacy in primary care. She also serves as clinical faculty, where she is committed to preparing the next generation of advanced practice nurses.

She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses (AAOHN), where she serves on the Legislative Affairs Advisory Committee, and an inductee of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Ayo is passionate about employee health promotion, injury prevention, and protecting workers from occupational and environmental hazards.
