What is NARCAN?
NARCAN is a life-saving medication used to reverse an opioid overdose.
What are opioids?
Opioids are a class of drugs used to reduce pain. Examples may include: Fentanyl, heroin, and medications such as Methadone, Oxycodone (such as OxyContin®), Hydrocodone (such as Vicodin®).
Who should carry NARCAN?
You should carry NARCAN if you or someone you know:
- is at risk of opioid overdose

is struggling with an opioid use disorder (OUD)

is taking prescribed opioid medications

is taking opioids and benzodiazepines together

has a history of street drug use
Where can I find NARCAN?
Individuals can purchase NARCAN from pharmacies or access FREE NARCAN at the following locations:
