The WorkStrong program is a system-wide initiative designed for employees who have been injured on the job to reduce the risk of future work injuries and improve overall health and wellness.
Who is eligible to participate?
- Employees with at least 2 work related injuries in the past 24 months, provided that:
- Clinician feels employee is a good candidate, and are medically ready for exercise.
- The employee is in “good standing” with the University.
- The employee wants to participate.
- Employees with 1 injury can be recommended by their workers compensation provider on a case by case basis.
*Student employees are not eligible*
FREE Program Services (offered in both English & Spanish)

6 private personal training sessions conducted via video call.

6-month membership to the campus gym
- One-on-one counseling with a Registered Dietician over the phone or a video call
*All services are scheduled outside of work hours, around the participant's availability
*All services are covered by University of California, Office of the President (UCOP).
