Hepatitis B Vaccination Program

In compliance with Cal/OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (§5193) and the Aerosol Transmissible Disease/Pathogen Standard (§5199), as well as other applicable regulations and guidelines, Occupational Health provides employees with Hepatitis B vaccination series and/or antibody testing at no charge. If an individual is offered the Hepatitis B vaccination series and declines it, the person must file a declination form.

**Note: If an employee is offered the Hepatitis B vaccination series and declines when first offered, he/she is not giving up his/her rights to receive the vaccination series at no cost (e.g., university pays) as long as he/she is still working on a project for which the vaccination series is offered.

Volunteers (e.g., an individual not paid by UC Merced) generally pay for vaccinations themselves or through their insurance.

For any occupational health-related inquiry, please email- occhealth@ucmerced.edu or call 209-228-0100.
